Plain-language summary

HomeSensorLab earns commissions when readers buy products through some of our links. The price you pay is the same whether you click our link or go to the retailer directly. Commissions do not influence which products we choose to review, the scoring weights we apply, or the order in which products appear in our comparison tables.

FTC compliance statement

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255), HomeSensorLab discloses a material connection with the merchants whose products we link to: when you make a qualifying purchase through one of those links, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This relationship is disclosed on this page and, where applicable, with visible labeling on the specific review pages that contain such links.

Programs we participate in

We disclose every affiliate program we have an active relationship with. This list is current as of the "Last updated" date above and will be revised when we add or remove relationships.

• None at the time of writing. HomeSensorLab is in the process of applying to Amazon Associates and selected senior-tech advertiser programs on the Impact and ShareASale networks. No commission-bearing links currently exist on this site.

When programs are added, this section will list each by name. Any review page containing affiliate links will indicate that fact at the top of the page.

What commissions do not influence

• Which products we choose to review — we start from caregiver use cases, not affiliate program rosters.
• Our scoring criteria or their weights (see methodology).
• The order in which products appear in comparison tables.
• Whether a product receives a positive or negative recommendation.
• Whether we disclose a product's flaws.

How affiliate links are marked on this site

Every affiliate link on HomeSensorLab is technically marked with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and opens in a new tab. Outbound "Check current price" or product-name links to retailers are affiliate links unless explicitly noted otherwise. Reviews containing affiliate links carry a visible disclosure note at the top of the article body.

What we refuse

• Paid placements, sponsored editorial, and "review for product" arrangements.
• Brand-controlled review templates or copy approval.
• Affiliate commissions whose rates are conditioned on a particular score, ranking, or sentiment.
• Direct payments from manufacturers in exchange for coverage.

If a manufacturer offers a device on loan for testing, we either return the unit at the conclusion of testing or purchase it at retail price. We disclose any such loan inline in the review.

If anything in our affiliate practices is unclear, or you believe a piece of content is missing a required disclosure, please reach out via our contact page. We treat disclosure failures as bugs and fix them visibly.
